Today’s Special Occasion: Arbor Day

It's April 28, and today is Arbor Day.  Arbor Day's focus is on trees, and trees are a major part of the environment.  You can learn more about the environment by taking our paper-based Environmental Science course or our online Environmental Science course.  They are two of our many online high school courses and high school correspondence courses that students may take as part of an accredited high school program.  Some take our courses for credit recovery purposes and will earn their diplomas from a local public or private high school.  Others take our courses in the hope of earning an online high school diploma or correspondence high school dipoma from American School.  Either way, we're happy to serve our students!

Testimonial Thursday

We haven't done a Testimonial Thursday in ages, but today that changes.  Vicente writes, "Thank you so much to all the American School staff and instructors.  This means so much to me.  What an incredible journey this has been!  To study and complete my high school from different countries and continents, I'm so grateful for American School and how it has allowed me to see the world.  It has all been an enriching experience."  We thank Vicente for those words and wish him the best as he continues to live in Spain.  His comments prove that American School is an internationally relevant institution.  We've been a leading distance education high school for more than a century and are excited to add an accredited middle school program to our robust course offerings.  Enroll today!  We'd be happy to have you as our student wherever you live.

Today’s Special Occasion: Administrative Professionals Day

It's April 26, and today is Administrative Professionals Day.  We wish to thank all of our administrative professionals who perform so many tasks that benefit our students.  They help ensure that students can earn a high school diploma at home by taking accredited online high school courses and high school correspondence courses.  They also help with online middle school courses and process requests for books, transcripts and much more.  We're grateful for everything they do for us and our students!

Reminder About Restarting With American School

Today's blog focuses on restarting your accredited online high school diploma program or accredited high school program with high school correspondence courses with American School.  We know that most people complete high school in four years or less, but we also know that sometimes life gets in the way and you can't complete yoru full general high school program or college preparatory program in that time.  Whether you've been gone a short time or even years, you can restart right where you left off and still earn your online high school diploma or correspondence high school diploma.  Just call us or send us an email or letter and explain your situation.  Be sure to have your name at the time you were enrolled, your address and phone number and your American School student number ready and we'll be happy to help you get started again.  We look forward to helping you earn your American School diploma no matter how old you might be or how many years have passed by since you took the first step and enrolled with us.

American School is proud to exhibit at the Illinois School Counselors Association Conference this Friday, April 21.  We'll be at the Donald E. New Courses Coming Soon

In today's blog we're going to promote some upcoming courses.  A new Consumer Economics and Financial Literacy course will be available very soon.  We're also working on new courses for foods and computers and have several other courses in the works, including paper-based middle school courses to go along with our online middle school courses.  Our commitment has always been to offer high-quality accredited high school courses and middle school courses, and revising and adding courses will help us to do that.  Keep checking this blog often for more information.
