Last Chance for AP Courses

Today's blog, the last until next week, is a reminder that enrollment in our AP courses ends on Friday, September 29.  Adding these special online high school courses in biology, language and composition, calculus, United States government and politics and United States history would enhance your accredited high school program and could lead to you receiving college credit.  Please click on the link above, read the information carefully and contact us if you wish to enroll.  AP courses help make us an even better distance education high school, but even though enrollment ends this week, we're not going to stop making changes and improvements to serve you better.  Stay tuned!

AP Course Enrollment Continues This Week

Today's blog is a reminder that enrollment in our AP courses continues this week.  This will be the last week students can enroll in these online high school courses for this academic year.  So far we are pleased with the number of students who have added these courses to their accredited high school program, but there's always room for more.  Click the link above for more information.  We believe AP courses make us an even better distance education high school and we hope you do as well!

Today’s Special Occasion: The First Day of Autumn

It's September 22, and today is the first day of autumn.  People equate autumn with colors changing, leaves falling, harvests and pumpkins and going back to school.  Perhaps you're ready to begin an accredited middle school program or accredited high school program, or maybe you were in one before but didn't complete your studies.  Either way, today is a great day to enroll!  In addition to being the first day of autumn, today also is one week from the deadline to enroll in our AP courses for the 2017-18 academic year.  These online high school courses would be great additions to your curriculum and could give you college credit, so please considering enrolling in one or more of them.

Today’s Special Occasion: International Day of Peace

It's September 21, and today is the International Day of Peace.  We have students taking high school correspondence courses, online high school courses and online middle school courses in more than 65 countries around the world, and we wish for peace among all nations.  We're proud to be an internationally relevant distance education high school and middle school and would be happy to have you as our student no matter where you live.  Enroll today!

AP Courses Still Open

Today's blog is a reminder that you can enroll in our new AP courses through September 29.  We are proud to offer these online high school courses to those in our college preparatory program or independent study high school program.  We hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity to challenge yourself and learn in a new way and possibly earn college credit in the process.  Email us for more information or to enroll, and check back here Thursday for our next blog post.

Today’s Anniversary: Old Faithful

It's September 18, and on this date in 1870, explorers in Wyoming oberserved a geyser that erupted on a regular basis throughout the day.  Because it seemingly erupted on a schedule, they named it Old Faithful, and visitors to Yellowstone National Park can see this geyser in action to this very day.  When it comes to distance education high schools, American School is like Old Faithful.  We're reliable, offering 120 years of experience in offering accredited high school courses.  Within the last year we added an accredited middle school program to our curriculum which will help us serve even more students.  If you're ready to receive education from a school which has been faithful to its students and mission for more than a century, we invite you to enroll today!

Today’s Anniversary: American School Blogger

It's September 15, and even though our offices are closed today, we still have a blog post to share with you.  On this date in 1998 the person who writes this blog began working at American School.  Since that time, quite a bit has changed around here.  We didn't offer online high school courses, but now we do.  We didn't offer online middle school courses either, but now we do.  We didn't have AP courses, but as of this week we do.  We didn't have social media pages, this blog or our popular online student center and online counselor office either, but now we do.  In the near future, we plan to add paper-based middle school courses and give students in our accredited high school program more choices than ever before, so stay tuned.  Those changes are exciting, but one thing that hasn't changed is our commitment to our students.  We put students' needs first and attempt to offer them the best curriculum and customer service we can while being mindful of cost and our 120 years of credibility as a leader in distance education.  As proud as the American School blogger is to work here, we're even more proud of our students and graduates.  It's a pleasure to serve you!

AP Courses Enrollment Still Available

Today's blog is a reminder that we are offering Advanced Placement courses in United States Government and Politics, United States History, Biology, Calculus AB and English Language and Composition.  These online high school courses can be a great addition to an existing online high school diploma program, or they can be taken through our independent study high school program.  Click here for more information!
