It’s June 27, and the Wimbledon tennis tournament begins today in London, England. Wimbledon is perhaps the most famous tennis tournament in the world, and it’s certainly the most traditional. For example, players must wear all-white clothing during their matches, genders are called ladies and gentlemen instead of women and men, and up until recently, players had to bow to the royal box if any members of Britain’s royal family were in attendance. American School boasts 125 years of tradition as a leading distance education middle school and distance education high school, and we have been proud to serve many tennis players since our founding in 1897. One of them, Andre Agassi, won the gentlemen’s singles title at Wimbledon in 1992 and was runner-up in 1999. Another American School student, Andrea Jaeger, was ladies’ singles runner-up in 1983. Tennis players choose us because we offer them flexibility to work when and where it is convenient for them, and the same benefits apply to all our students. Enroll today and work on your middle school courses or high school courses at your own pace. We would be happy to have you be a part of our great tradition of educational excellence!
