American School Holds 81st Annual Scholarship Meeting

Last week the American School held its 81st annual Scholarship Meeting during which a distinguished panel of judges awarded scholarships to several deserving graduates.  Among the awards were the Henry Buresh Alumni Award, the R.T. Miller Founders Award and the Presidents Award.  All applicants demonstrated outstanding academic ability in our accredited high school program while participating in a wide variety of extracurricular activities in their communities.  Our scholarship awards will help winners continue their educations at the accredited college or university of their choice.  Many of them were enrolled in our college preparatory program, which is designed especially for students who wish to attend a four-year college or university.  Awarding scholarships is one of our greatest traditions, and plans are already underway for the 2020 scholarship season.  To be eligible, you must earn a high school diploma at home with us in 2019 and meet other eligibility requirements.  More information will be available later this year.  In the meantime, let us thank our judges and applicants and congratulate this year's scholarship recipients.  We are proud of you!
