Upsets were the order of the day yesterday afternoon at the U.S. Open, and perhaps the most emphatic of them all was delivered by American School graduate Anna Tatishvili. After going through three qualifying matches just to make the main draw, Anna routed 8th-seeded Karolina Pliskova, 6-2, 6-1, to advance to the second round, where she'll face fellow American Madison Brengle tomorrow. The U.S. Open is the site of Anna's best Grand Slam finish, a fourth round showing in 2012, and if she plays like she did yesterday, a similar run is possible.
