The basis of good writing is writing good sentences and paragraphs. This course emphasizes correct usage of basic grammar, spelling, punctuation and commonly misused words in writing well-organized sentences and paragraphs. By the end of the course, students are making practical use of what they have learned by preparing a report, complaint letter, job application letter and a résumé.
