We're heading back to 1979 for today's Flashback Friday. There are three stories on the front page of the American School newsletter shown below. The main story is about Dr. Edward C. Estabrooke's appearance at the World Conference of the International Council for Correspondence Education in New Delhi, India. Though we have not traveled to India for any conferences recently, we have traveled all across the United States and continue to be internationally relevant by having students in more than 65 countries. In the upper right, Harrison Fisher (whose name is familiar to many American School employees during the month of March) introduces us to the business courses we were offering in 1979. Back then, all of our courses were on paper, but today we offer both online and paper-based courses, as well as online exams in many paper-based courses. Finally, the article at the bottom describes a cold, snowy winter. We hope that today's minor snow will be the last of the season for us because we have exciting things planned for you as we head into spring. Keep reading this blog and following us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.
