General Information
Students may enroll at any time
during the year. The American School neither requires nor gives entrance
examinations for admission to its courses. Applicants who are under the age
specified by the "compulsory school attendance" laws of the state in which they
reside must secure from the local school officials permission to enroll with the American
School. All applicants who are under the legal age of the state in which
they reside are also required to provide the written approval of a parent, guardian, or
guarantor and to submit this with the enrollment agreement. Students enrolling in the high school course will receive credit for each subject satisfactorily completed in resident school, with the exception of subjects such as Physical Education, ROTC, Religion, Drivers' Education, or Music. At the time of enrollment you should check each subject for which you expect to receive credit in the appropriate place on the enrollment form. Be sure to indicate clearly the name and address of the high school or schools you have attended, the dates of attendance, your date of birth, and the name under which you were enrolled if it is different than your present name so that we can get a transcript of your credits. Once we have received a copy of your transcript verifying your previous credits, we will then apply them toward graduation requirements.
