It’s September 10, and today’s blog is going to focus on the events that happened 20 years ago tomorrow on September 11, 2001. Many of us who worked at American School that day still remember where we were and what we were doing when we heard the news happening in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. We pause to remember the lives lost that day and also recall the hard work, sacrifices and patriotism shown by so many Americans in the days, weeks and months that followed. As we have written many times before, we are proud to include the word “American” in our name, and we are proud that students in all 50 states have made us their distance education middle school or distance education high school. They enjoy taking our accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses, and we are grateful for them and grateful to live and work in a country that values education and freedom.
