2013 American School graduate Anna Tatishvili was taken back to school by #1 Serena Williams in the opening round of the French Open in Paris. In a performance that showed just how wide the gap is between the top-ranked and the 83rd-ranked players in the world, Serena dominated Anna, 6-0, 6-1, to advance to the second round. Although the loss dropped Anna to 2-11 this year, it is our hope that competing against the best player in the world and, in fact, one of the best players of all-time, will inspire her to have better results this summer, starting at Wimbledon, which begins June 24.
