Celebrating Computer Science Education Week

We're in the middle of Computer Science Education Week, and so today's blog is a reminder that we offer courses that can improve your computer skills.  Ideally we'd love to offer accredited online high school courses and accredited high school correspondence courses that focus on computers, but certain computer courses are difficult to complete on paper.  One almost has to use a computer to complete them, so that is why certain courses are only available online.  If you are interested in becoming more tech-savvy, we recommend you take these courses individually as part of a high school independent study program or as part of a program that leads to a paper-based or online high school diploma.  Enroll today to get started!

Reminder About Our FAQ Page

Today's blog contains a reminder about our FAQ page.  We've put frequently asked questions (and their answers) on that page for your convenience.  Please check our FAQ page first before contacting us.  We are happy to reply to every email we receive within one business day and assist you on the phone, but checking the FAQ page before contacting us allows us to provide even better service to you and the thousands of other students who are in our online high school diploma program, correspondence high school diploma program, high school independent study program or accredited middle school program.  Thank you for your cooperation and for allowing us to serve you.

2018 Convention #6: NSBA Conference

As if going to Cincinnati and Kansas City wasn't enough next week, we're also headed to San Antonio, not for the Final Four this weekend but for the National School Boards Association Conference.  We'll be in booth 746 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on April 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on April 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and we're excited to meet school board members from across the country and describe our accredited high school program, accredited middle school program and high school independent study program to them.  It'll be a busy week for us, but we're proud to serve different groups of people in different parts of the country.  If you miss us at a convention next week, stay tuned.  We'll attend more conventions soon and we hope to see you there!

Today’s Anniversary: The United States Census

It's March 1, and the first United States Census was taken on this date way back in 1790.  If we counted up all of the students who have taken our accredited high school courses online or on paper over the years, that number would be more than 3 million.  That's more than every city in the United States except for New York and Los Angeles!  We're proud to have students from coast to coast working on an online high school diploma program, paper-based accredited high school program, high school independent study program, or accredited middle school program.  At American School, you're more than just a number.  We take sincere interest in our students' learning and offer the best curriculum and support we possibly can.  Count yourselves among our students by enrolling today!

2018 Convention #1: WSCA

We're headed to the first convention of 2018 next week when we exhibit at the WSCA Conference in Madison, Wisconsin.  This event for Wisconsin school counselors gives us the opportunity to showcase our high school independent study program that students may use for credit recovery.  Students can choose from accredited online high school courses or accredited high school correspondence courses and ultimately graduate on time with their classes.  Counselors may visit us at table 37 at the Monona Terrace on February 20 from 4-6 p.m., February 21 from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and February 22 from 7:30 a.m.-11 a.m.  We've always enjoyed visiting the Badger State and know this year will be no different.  We look forward to seeing you there!
