It’s December 3, and our home state of Illinois became a state on this date in 1818. We call Illinois our home state because we have been located here since the early 1900s, just a few years after our founding in Massachusetts in 1897. A school called the Armour Institute invited us to Illinois as part of an experimental educational program, and that program did so well that we decided to stick around and make Illinois our home. Because we are located in Illinois, we follow the standards set by the Illinois State Board of Education. Earlier this year a team from the ISBE visited our school in person and evaluated our accredited middle school program, accredited high school program and independent study program. We are happy to say that the Illinois State Board of Education once again recognized us as a non-public school, and we are grateful for that recognition. Although we are located in Illinois, we gladly serve students in all 50 states and more than 65 countries around the world. We’d be glad to serve you too. Help us celebrate our home state’s birthday by enrolling today!
