Today’s Anniversary: Sliced Bread

It's July 7, and the Chillicothe Baking Company in Missouri sold sliced bread for the very first time on this date in 1928.  These days we take sliced bread for granted.  Virtually every loaf we buy in the bread aisle at a supermarket is pre-sliced, but it wasn't always that way.  People were so impressed with sliced bread that a popular expression grew out of it.  When someone really enjoys something, he or she might say it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.  We hope you feel the same about studying at home with American School.  Studying at home means students work in their accredited high school program or accredited middle school program at their own pace and in a safe environment.  American School courses are just as rigorous as courses taken in a traditional school setting, and American School students receive personal attention in distance education from instructors and other staff members.  American School's affordable tuition and monthly payment plans allow families to have money available to buy sliced bread and anything else they need for their families.  We never let cost get in the way of a student's education.  Finally, students who earn a high school diploma at home typically earn more "bread" than people who do not graduate from high school.  Take the first step and enroll today!
