It’s December 29, and Texas became a state on this date in 1845. Texas is known as the Lone Star State in reference to the single star on its flag. That got us thinking about how many of our students are lone stars themselves. By that we mean that our students excel and become stars when they work alone in a classroom of one. When we survey students and learn what they like best about taking accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses with us, the most common reply is the ability to work at their own pace. Our students are not confined by a classroom whose pace may be too fast or too slow for their academic abilities. Rather, they do their best by working independently and can contact their instructors as much or as little as needed. This is a good thing to remember as you consider enrolling in middle school courses or high school courses. We want all of our students to become stars whether you live in Texas or any other state, and we look forward to serving you.
