It's March 3, and on this date in 1845, Florida became a state. Each year we travel to Florida for the FPEA Convention on Memorial Day weekend, and we're headed down there again this year. We'll be making another stop in Florida this spring because the NCEA Convention, which travels around the country each year, is being held in the Sunshine State as well. We go to conventions in Florida for more than just the nice weather–although that certainly doesn't hurt. Rather, we attend conventions in a variety of places across the country because we try to go where our students and school officials are, and since we're American School, our students and school officials are all over the country. Keep checking this blog and our Facebook and Twitter pages to see where we are headed next.
