Today’s Anniversary: Wimbledon

It's July 9, and the very first Wimbledon tennis tournament began on this date in 1877.  This year July 9 falls on the second Monday of the tournament, a day where all 16 remaining gentlemen and all 16 remaining ladies take the court in search of berths in the quarterfinals.  American School graduate Andre Agassi won Wimbledon in 1992, and fellow American School students Andrea Jaeger, Kathy Horvath, Anna Kournikova, Mary Pierce and Caroline Wozniacki all have competed in tennis's most prestigious tournament.  Those people and more than three million others have taken high school correspondence courses or online high school courses from one of the most prestigious distance education high schools–American School!  We were founded 20 years after Wimbledon and have been educating people all over the world ever since.  In additional to our accredited high school courses, we're proud to offer an accredited middle school program consisting of online middle school courses and paper-based middle school courses.  We think you'll love us, so be sure to enroll today!
