It's December 3, and Illinois became a state on this date in 1818. Although we were founded in Massachusetts in 1897, we consider Illinois our home state because we've been here since the early 20th century. We spent most of our time in the city of Chicago, particularly in the Hyde Park neighborhood near the University of Chicago, but since 1996 we have been based in the far south suburb of Lansing, Illinois. Because we are located in Illinois, the Illinois State Board of Education visits our school every few years to examine our structure and the educational services we provide. We are happy to be recognized by the State of Illinois as a non-public high school and proud to be located in the state which celebrates its 197th birthday today. Even though we're located in Illinois, we are proud to serve students from all 50 states and more than 65 countries around the world. Visit our enrollment page for information on how you can become our next student whether you live close by or many miles away!
