It's February 17, also the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which is known as Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday or Fat Tuesday. One favorite Fat Tuesday treat around Chicagoland is the paczki, which is a donut filled with apricot, cheese, prune and other delightful flavors. Some bakeries and supermarkets sell them all Lent long instead of only on Fat Tuesday, and some American School employees (such as the writer of this blog) eat them all Lent long too. Perhaps the American School blog writer should take our Food Study, Physiology and Health, or online Health course to learn how all those paczki affect diet and overall health. You can learn about nutrition and more if you enroll in any of those courses yourself. Instead of getting filled up on paczki, you'll get filled up with knowledge as you work toward your accredited high school diploma!
