This blog talks a lot about our courses, what conventions we're attending, and much more, but none of that would matter without our accreditation. Yesterday a steering committee met for the first time to help prepare the School for its next accreditation visit, which is scheduled to occur in 2014. If you think we're planning way in advance, you're right, but accreditation is something that takes time and something that the American School takes very seriously. Even though each accreditation visit brings its own challenges and a slightly different set of standards for us to follow, the reality is that accreditation visits are opportunities for us to take a close look at ourselves and how we do things, both the things we do well and the things we can do better. In fact, we are continuing to implement suggestions and improvements we received following our most recent accreditation cycle Above all, the accreditation process benefits our students. They are the ones who will reap the rewards of attending the best version of the American School that we can offer!
