American School Holds 82nd Annual Scholarship Meeting

Yesterday American School held its 82nd annual Scholarship Meeting during which a distinguished panel of judges awarded scholarships to several deserving 2019 graduates.  Among the awards were the Henry Buresh Alumni Award, the R.T. Miller Founders Award and the Presidents Award.  All applicants demonstrated outstanding academic ability in our accredited high school program while participating in a wide variety of extracurricular activities in their communities.  Our scholarship awards will help winners continue their educations at the accredited college or university of their choice.  Many of them were enrolled in our college preparatory program, which is designed especially for students who wish to attend a four-year college or university, but others enrolled in our general high school program, which is designed for students who may wish to attend a community college while joining the workforce.  Since the first scholarship meeting, American School has awarded $926,200 in scholarships to more than 1548 deserving graduates, and we are happy to do so.  Information on the 2021 scholarship competition will be available early next year.  To be eligible, you must earn a high school diploma at home with us in 2020 and meet other eligibility requirements.  Check this blog in early 2021 for more details.  In the meantime, let us thank our judges and applicants and congratulate this year's scholarship recipients.  We are proud of you!
