Business Math (online)

In this online Business Math course, students will explore topics such as business statistics, profit calculations, payroll, banking, interest calculations, insurance, taxes, and other business topics.  Course learning objectives include solving equations and mathematical problems using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; reconciling bank statements; analyzing business problems and financial statements using percentages and statistical concepts; explaining various payroll issues that affect employers and employees; applying mathematical concepts to business lending transactions, transactions involving annuities and stocks and bonds, transactions involving inventory and business problems involving pricing and discounts; calculating various mortgage, insurance, and tax problems; and applying various depreciation methods
