Last week we introducted five new online courses to our curriculum, and each day this week we are going to profile one of them in our blog. We'll start with Digital Photography. This course focuses on the basics of photography and basic camera functions, including building an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, lighting, and composition. Students will be introduced to the history of photography and learn how to critique photographs in order to better understand what creates an eye catching photograph. They will also examine various aspects of professional photography, including the ethics of the profession, and examine some of the areas in which professional photographers may choose to specialize. Students are required to submit examples of their work and therefore must have access to a camera and have the ability to upload their images. We are pleased to add this course to our curriculum, but we didn't stop there. Check back tomorrow to see which of our new online learning offerings we'll feature next!
