It's February 8, the last day of School Counseling Week. The American School is grateful to work with counselors around the country through our Independent Study Program, which helps students recover credits and graduate from high school on time. In recent years, the American School has done more outreach toward guidance counselors than ever. In addition to attending the ASCA's national convention each year, we attend state conventions both in the Midwest and in different parts of the country, including this weekend's convention in Texas. We also visit Chicago-area schools to learn how we can better serve them and their students. Our Independent Study Program has served students well for decades, and thanks to the input we receive from counselors, it will continue to serve students well for decades to come.
