Today’s Anniversary: Hiram Rhodes Revels

It's February 25, and on this date in 1870, Hiram Rhodes Revels became the first African-American to serve in Congress when he was elected to the United States Senate.  After this term ended, he became president of what would become Alcorn State University and became an example of how a person can overcome prejudices and make an impact on thousands of people's lives.  We are proud to accept students of all genders and races into our accredited middle school program or accredited high school program.  Our college preparatory program can prepare you for attending the college or university of your choice, while our general high school program might be more appropriate if you plan to attend a community college or join the workforce after you earn a high school diploma at home.  You can start the program of your choice by enrolling today.
