It's September 4, and on this date in 1888, George Eastman registered the name Kodak and received a patent for a camera that used a roll of film to take multiple pictures. Photography has come a long way since then–this site of colorized black-and-white photos is just one example–and you can learn more about it when you enroll in our Photography course. You'll need access to a camera (either a film-loading one similar to the kind Eastman patented or a more modern digital one) because you'll be taking plenty of pictures and completing a photo essay at the end of this one-unit course. If you picture yourself earning your accredited American School diploma, then enroll today!
