Today’s Anniversary: The Telegraph

It's August 9, and on this date in 1892, Thomas Edison received a patent for a two-way telegraph.  That got us thinking about all the different ways we communicate with our students.  When we first started as a distance education high school, communication was strictly by telephone and letter.  Those are still valid forms of communication, but now students, parents and school officials communicate with us via email, and students in online middle school courses and online high school courses can communicate with their instructors through messaging systems embedded within those courses.  We do our best to reply to every inquiry within one business day.  It's part of the caring student service that has become one of our hallmarks!
