It's December 5, and Walt Disney was born on this date in 1901. One could make the argument that he is one of maybe the 10 or 20 best-known Americans of all-time. Consider that nearly everyone knows of or has been to Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World and its related parks in Florida, or another Disney park around the world. If someone hasn't heard of those places, then surely he or she is familiar with Disney characters like Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Minnie Mouse and of course Mickey Mouse, originally voiced by Walt Disney himself. In addition, Disney movies such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Fantasia helped Walt Disney earn 22 Oscars and 59 nominations, both of which are records. There's no doubt that Walt Disney is an American icon, but so is the American School. More than three million students have used our courses to help them earn their accredited high school diplomas, and we are internationally relevant since we have students in more than 60 countries around the world. In a couple of weeks we'll be celebrating our 115th birthday, which only adds to our outstanding credibility and experience. We'll have a big celebratory blog that day, but we'll have plenty of other blog entries between now and then, so bookmark this page, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for all the latest updates.
