80th Anniversary of D-Day

It’s June 6, and D-Day occurred on this date in 1944.  D-Day was a major turning point in World War II, and we invite you to learn more about this historic day and the people involved in it by visiting the National D-Day Memorial web site or perhaps by visiting the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia.  Several of our accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses contain information about D-Day, but visiting the D-Day web site or memorial in person can help bring the circumstances of that historic day to life.  We remember the sacrifices of many that day and are proud to include the word “American” in the name of our distance education middle school or distance education high school because of them and so many others.

I found all the material and methods extremely satisfying.  It made the classes simple enough to learn while still being able to enjoy the process!  I spent my first two years of high school in a public school, but American School made it an enjoyable experience while still giving me the education I need.  My parents have never been so proud to see so many good grades coming from a homeschool program.

I especially liked and appreciated all of the instructors’ positive comments, feedback and helpful hints on my son’s exams.  You cannot put a price tag on a high school diploma, although I felt the fees were quite reasonable.  I’m really thankful that there is a back-up plan for students who are lacking credits to graduate.
