It’s November 15, and Frederick William Herschel was born on this date in 1738. He was a composer and astronomer who is perhaps best known for discovering Uranus in 1781. His birthday got us thinking about his dual interests of music and astronomy. On the surface they might not have much in common, but one common bond between them is that American School offers both music and astronomy courses. They are among the many accredited high school courses that students may add to their accredited high school program or independent study high school program. We try to offer diverse and interesting electives among our high school correspondence courses and online high school courses, and we are happy to count music and astronomy courses among them. Visit our courses page to view our entire course catalog and then visit our enrollment page to get started. We believe our courses will be music to your ears and out of this world, and all of us would be happy to serve you!
