It’s been 11 days now since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, who led the United Kingdom for more than 70 years and was one of the most recognizable and admired people in the world. Today her funeral is being held. Her son, King Charles III, ascended to the throne immediately following her death, and so today’s blog is going to talk about kings and queens. American School students are kings or queens of their destiny as students in our accredited middle school program, accredited high school program or independent study program. That is because we let them work at their own pace, whenever and wherever it is convenient for them. Our students have no one telling them what to do and when to do it besides pacing guides in online middle school courses and online high school courses to keep them on track and course completion limits outlined in enrollment applications. This ability to work at their own pace gives students complete autonomy as they work toward the crown of earning an accredited high school diploma. They may even take British Literature along the way which would no doubt please members of England’s royal family. We treat all our students like royalty as they study with us, including those who might be studying with us from the United Kingdom. Our thoughts are with these students at this time, and we are happy to support them any way we can.
