It’s March 16, and James Madison was born on this date in 1751. He was the fourth President of the United States, but he is perhaps more well-known for being the main author of the United States Constitution. The United States Constitution is sometimes known as the law of the land, and American School has laws or rules of its own which we will discuss in this blog. To start, we have a set of by-laws which are rules for governance that school leadership must follow. Our employees follow rules put forth in our employee handbook. We also have a student handbook which contains several policies that students in our accredited middle school program, accredited high school program and independent study program must follow. Our students also follow our honor system to prevent cheating and to make sure they do their work honestly. Some people might find laws or rules burdensome, but they provide structure and freedom for our students and for our country. We thank all of our students for following our rules and guidelines and invite you to join them by enrolling today!
