It’s June 2, and today is National Donut Day. If you walk into a bakery or donut shop, you’ll probably see many varieties of donuts. You might see yeast or cake donuts. You might see donuts covered in granulated sugar, powdered sugar or sprinkles. You might see donuts filled with fruit or custard. You might even see a French cruller, which is a favorite donut of at least one person who works at American School. Just as there are many varieties of donuts, there are many varieties of courses American School offers in its middle school program and high school program. Some, in subject areas like English, math, science and social studies, are core subjects, while others in subject areas like business, career and technical education, fine arts and world languages, might be popular elective choices. All of our courses can be taken individually to supplement an existing homeschooling program or to earn independent study credit toward graduating from an accredited public or private school. If you have a hole in your education, take a look around our web site, pick as many courses as you’d like, even a baker’s dozen or more, and then enroll. American School would be happy to serve you!
