It’s July 26, and New York became a state on this date in 1788.  When people think of New York, they may think of the Statue of Liberty, and that famous statue got us thinking about the liberty our students have after they enroll in our accredited middle school program or accredited high school program.  Although certain subjects and certain subject areas are required, students have the liberty to choose whatever electives they wish for the rest of their courses.  Many students choose courses in business, career and technical education, fine arts or world languages as electives, but extra courses in English, math, science or social studies may count as electives too if they are not required subjects.  We have hundreds of online or correspondence courses from which to choose, and you can enjoy that liberty after you enroll and become our student.  All of us would love having you as part of our distance education middle school or distance education high school if you live in New York or any other state!
