It’s October 15, and the Gregorian Calendar began to be fully adopted on this day in 1582. Centuries ago there were many calendars being used by different parts of the world. As you might imagine, this became confusing. Eventually countries and continents came to agree on one calendar for the entire world to use, and the Gregorian Calendar became the universal calendar. This anniversary got us thinking about our calendar. American School students have 12 months from the date they enroll to complete an entire year of our accredited middle school program or accredited high school program. Students in our independent study program have 12 months from the date they enroll to complete full unit courses and 6 months from the date they enroll to complete half unit courses. Please keep these calendars in mind as you homeschool with us. We want to make sure you stay on track toward reaching your educational goals!
