It’s October 21, and scientist Alfred Nobel was born on this day in 1833. He invented dynamite but you might be more familiar with his name because of the Nobel Prizes. Nobel’s will included provisions to create awards to honor people whose skills offer “the greatest benefit to mankind,” and today Nobel Prizes are awarded in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, economics and peace. When you look at those award areas, you’ll see many subject areas covered here at American School. Visit our courses page and you’ll see seven main subject areas. Click on the general subject area which interests you to learn what print or online middle school courses and print or online high school courses we offer in that discipline. We want to set you on the path to earning a Nobel Prize of your own one day. Enroll and become an American School student today. We’d love to have you homeschool with us!
