Recently there has been a lot of chatter about artificial intelligence and various chat programs or bots which can produce words, sentences and entire paragraphs as if they were written by a human being instead of by a computer. The purpose of this blog is to let you know that the use of such programs in our print or online middle school courses and print or online high school courses is prohibited. American School’s honor system and academic integrity policy state that students must do their own work, and doing their own work in our online or paper-based middle school courses and online or paper-based high school courses means that students produce words, sentences and entire paragraphs from their own mind and not from artificial intelligence.
