Today’s blog is about electives. From time to time students and parents will contact us and ask us to provide a list of elective courses. No such list is available because in reality any course that is not required as part of an accredited middle school program or accredited high school program could be considered an elective. We offer a wide variety of online and paper-based middle school courses and online and paper-based high school courses because we know students have varied interests. While multiple years of English, math, science and social studies are required to complete middle school and high school, additional courses in those subject areas may be taken as electives. Elective possibilities also include courses in business, career and technical education, fine arts or world languages. Please visit the courses page of our web site for lists of our latest course offerings, and keep in mind that some courses have prerequisites which means students cannot take them unless they have successfully completed other courses. Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to you adding the electives of your choice to your curriculum at the appropriate time.
