It’s October 26, and today American School’s Board of Trustees and Corporate Members will hold the School’s 125th Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting is an opportunity for School leadership to review the past year and plan for the future, and this year’s meeting will take on special significance as American School prepares to celebrate its 125th anniversary as a leading distance education middle school and distance education high school on December 17. Over the years the formats of Annual Meetings have changed. In the past, leaders of each department would prepare a report of their department’s activities and then distribute their reports to other meeting attendees and read them aloud during the meeting. These days attendees submit their reports in advance, and those reports are combined into one large report that is prepared and sent to meeting participants in advance of the meeting. What hasn’t changed is American School’s commitment to students and the leadership provided by the Board of Trustees and Corporate Members. Those two things have been trademarks of American School for the past 125 years and will continue to be trademarks for the next 125 years. Whether you take middle school courses or high school courses, full years of study or individual courses for credit recovery or enrichment, we are happy to serve you and look forward to counting you among the students mentioned at our 126th Annual Meeting next October.
