Today American School held its 128th Annual Meeting of Trustees and Corporate Members. The annual meeting is a chance to look back at the challenges and accomplishments of the past year and look ahead to a brighter future for American School students and staff alike. Each year during the Annual Meeting, participants approve the School’s purpose and philosophy which states, “The American School, a not for profit distance learning institution utilizing various distance education methods, is dedicated to providing quality instruction at a reasonable cost to those students who are seeking an alternative means of attaining their education.” The purpose and philosophy perfectly describe what we do for homeschooling students in grades 6-12 who wish to earn a high school diploma at home or for students who attend traditional schools and need to take individual accredited middle school courses or accredited high school courses for credit recovery or enrichment purposes. We are happy to have you as part of the American School family and thank you for the privilege of offering you the best education we can provide.
