American School’s Scholarship Committee recently selected winners in American School’s 86th Annual Scholarship Competition. Four recent graduates each were awarded a $1000 scholarship to help fund their education at an accredited college or university of their choice. As always, members of the Scholarship Committee enjoyed learning about each of the applicants, each of whom earned an accredited high school diploma in 2023 after completing high school at home with American School. In particular, committee members enjoyed reading applicants’ personal statements which described what American School means to them and what their future plans are. To date, American School has awarded $957,700 in scholarships to 1569 graduates since the first scholarships were awarded more than eight decades ago. It’s one way we recognize the achievements of those who decided to earn a high school diploma at home and excelled in academic and extracurricular activities during their high school years. Information on future scholarship competitions will be available no earlier than January 2025. In the meantime, we encourage all students in our accredited high school program to strive for excellence in everything they do.
