It’s May 18, and American School is set to hold its 84th Annual Scholarship Meeting shortly. The Scholarship Committee plans to award three $2000 scholarships and four $1000 scholarships to qualified graduates who earned a correspondence high school diploma or online high school diploma in 2021. The three $2000 scholarships are the R.T. Miller Founders Award, the President’s Award, and the Henry Buresh Alumni Award, and we are grateful for the contributions these individuals or groups have made to American School and our students. Since its inception, the American School Scholarship Program has award $946,200 in scholarships to 1562 deserving graduates, and we are proud to honor our alumni in this way. The Scholarship Committee is looking forward to learning about our recent graduates and will have difficult decisions when deciding this year’s winners. That is because the candidates come from different parts of the country and have different skills, interests and aspirations, but all of them have one thing in common, namely that they chose to earn a high school diploma at home from American School and did so in impressive fashion. Congratulations to all of this year’s candidates and winners. We are proud to call you our graduates!
