Advanced Placement Courses

For the 2018-2019 academic year, American School is pleased to offer the following online Advanced Placement (AP) courses:

Enrollment in AP courses for the 2018-19 academic year is open from July 9 to September 28, 2018.

Since it can take up to three business days for students to have access to all online study materials, we recommend enrolling by September 21 if you wish to begin your course on October 1, but all students who enroll can expect to have access to all online study materials no later than October 5.

All courses must be completed by April 26, 2019.

AP courses cost $200 per course for students already in an American School high school diploma program and $400 per course for all other students.  Tuition must be paid in full at the time of enrollment.  Please note that additional AP exam fees apply.  In addition, students who take the Biology and/or English Language and Composition will need to purchase additional study materials.  Scroll down for more information on exam fees and additional study materials.

To enroll, print and return this application or email with your name and phone number, and a representative will call you to process your enrollment.

Please scroll down for more information about the AP program or view the student guide.

About the AP Program

The AP program is designed to give students the experience of the rigors of college-level studies while still having the support of a high schol environment.  Students participating in AP have the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school which may help in the college admission process.

Homeschooled students must make arrangements to test at a participating school or authorized test center.  We recommend that students contact AP services before enrolling to get the names and telephone numbers of local participating AP coordinators who are willing to test outside students.  It is each student's own responsibility to make such arrangements.  Students must contact AP coordinators no later than March 15, 2019 to arrange testing.

There is an additional fee per AP test, separate from the cost of the course, that is paid to the AP coordinator.   For more information, please visit

International students (those registering for AP exams outside the United States) should visit for additional information.
