It’s April 15, and Jackie Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier on this date in 1947. Every year on this date MLB celebrates Jackie Robinson Day in his honor, and last year two American School employees attended a MLB game on this date in which every player wore Jackie Robinson’s #42 in recognition and remembrance of his remarkable achievement. Today is a good time to remind you that American School accepts students of all races and ethnic backgrounds into our accredited middle school program, accredited high school program or independent study program. We ask for race or ethnic background on enrollment applications strictly for information and reference purposes. We never prevent a student from enrolling or treat a student differently because of his or her race. We believe all students have a right to an outstanding education, and we want to include you in that number. Step into the batter’s box and enroll with American School today!
