It’s March 18, and soon the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments will get underway in earnest. It’s a good opportunity for us to remind you that unfortunately American School courses are not NCAA-approved at this time. This is due to a difference in educational philosophies, and we have no plans to change our position that homeschool students should be able to work on their high school correspondence courses or online high school courses entirely at their own pace. If you are thinking about playing basketball in college, please keep this in mind. In good conscience, we do not want you to enroll with us and think you’ll be able to play in an NCAA basketball tournament one day only to have your dreams dashed before you take the court.
