It’s June 24, and today is sometimes known as Midsummer. That’s because in many parts of the world summer unofficially begins on May 1 and concludes around September 1. In celebration of today’s holiday, we’re going to talk about the middle of our accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses. Full year courses are designed to be completed in 9 months, although our homeschooling students have 12 months from the enrollment date to complete them. As such, it is a good idea to get to the middle of the course when you are 5 or 6 months through your enrollment period. Half-unit or semester courses are designed to be completed in 4 or 5 months, although our homeschool students have 6 months from the enrollment date to complete them. As such, it is a good idea to get to the middle of the course when you are 2 or 3 months through your enrollment period. Online middle school courses and online high school courses have pacing guides to keep you on track. We want you to enjoy the beginning, middle and end of your experience with American School, and staying on track is one way to do that.
