It’s March 27, and today is the official Opening Day of the Major League Baseball season. We know the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers played two official games overseas last week, but today almost all 30 MLB teams will be in action, and that got us thinking about one of the greatest feats in Opening Day history. On April 16, 1940, Bob Feller, who was pitching for Cleveland, threw a no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox. It remains the only Opening Day no-hitter. We think about Bob Feller because in addition to being a Hall of Fame pitcher, he was an American School student. We were proud to serve Bob Feller many decades ago, and he is one of more than 3 million people who have enrolled in our accredited middle school program, accredited high school program or independent study program. People think our self-paced courses are a big hit, and we believe you’ll feel the same away after you enroll and become our student. Make today your Opening Day with American School. You’ll be glad you did!
