Description
This half–unit course introduces students to the fundamentals of printreading in residential construction. Students learn the various types of graphic information used to communicate construction ideas and information. They then are given the necessary background to read plot plans, floor plans, elevations, sections and details. In addition, students are introduced to building trades information. Two sets of plans are included with the course, one of which is also on the accompanying CD-ROM, which provides supplemental reference material. In completing this subject students take competency exams included as part of the textbook materials.
