It’s January 28, and 40 years ago today the Space Shuttle Challenger disintegrated shortly after takeoff. Among the seven astronauts on board was teacher Christa McAuliffe, who planned to take distance learning to a whole new stratosphere teaching lessons from space before fate intervened. We encourage you to visit the link in today’s blog to learn about Challenger and its final mission, including the lives of the seven astronauts who died that day. It will enhance your homeschooling experience and give you an opportunity to remember the men and women who lost their lives. You may even wish to visit a Challenger Center near you to learn more about space exploration. Thank you for making us your distance education middle school or distance education high school.
