It’s May 20, and today’s blog is celebrating two aviation anniversaries. In 1927 Charles Lindbergh took off from Paris and headed to New York in an attempt to complete the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1932 Amelia Earhart took off from Newfoundland and headed to Ireland in an attempt to complete the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean by a female pilot. Both pilots landed successfully. These anniversaries of solo flights got us thinking about the solo work our homeschooling students do when they take our accredited middle school courses or accredited high school courses.
