It’s January 3, and Alaska became a state on this date in 1959. American School serves many students in Alaska, and many of them choose to homeschool with us because they live in remote places and would have to travel long distances to attend a traditional school. We can send paper-based middle school courses or paper-based high school courses to students anywhere in the United States, though we ask that students living abroad only take our online middle school courses or online high school courses. We also meet students where they are academically meaning that if a student needs a year or more to complete middle school or high school, we can do that.
